Transmission Services Since 1987
Founded in 1987 in Washington DC, Diversified Communications (DCI) is one of the first transportable satellite service providers in the United States. Our roots go back to a single Hubcom satellite truck and have since expanded to include a downtown DC teleport, fiber connectivity to broadcast standup positions at the White House and Capitol, an insert studio, and crewing services.
Our field transmission capabilities have also grown and now include a highly capable C/Ku satellite truck which is able to transmit multiple video paths for REMI or “At-Home” production including HDR and 4K, as well as provide high speed dedicated internet over satellite connectivity anywhere the truck goes. DCI’s field transmission assets also include a small city-friendly Ku van, and a unique airline-checkable flyaway system for coverage overseas or in difficult to reach locations. All of these field uplinks can transmit multiple video paths and broadband internet anywhere they go. DCI also has nationwide microwave licenses to allow interference-free point to point video and data transmission between cameras, trucks, and buildings. DCI is a well-rounded broadcast and enterprise remote IP provider able to handle any challenge.
